1. The title of Anand Girihardas ted talk, "A Tale of Two Americas" brings to mind Charles Dickens' classic historical novel, "A Tale of Two Cities" a story set in France and England at the time of the French Revolution about the troubles the poor went through and how the rich ignored them.  What do you think of this title for his talk ?

2. Anand has written a book called "The True American".  What do you think this title means?

3. Anand begins with the question and dialogue which happened right before Raisuddin was shot, and we are hooked and curious to know what happens next.  Comment on the effectiveness of Anand's storytelling style.

4. Two souls, Stroman and Raisuddin, met that day; one suffering and one about to suffer.  Anand proceeds to deconstruct the crime which took place in that minimart so we can make sense of it.  What can we take away from this story?

5. Anand asserts that poverty and lack of opportunity plague too many native-born Americans making them angry young men victims from their childhood looking to blame someone for their troubles.  How can society intervene to help and rehabilitate such people?

6. Anand calls for an awakening on the part of America's elite who are, by the way, sitting in the ted audience listening to him. He calls for a moral challenge and presents Raisuddin, a Muslim immigrant, as an example to follow.  Do you think it can be done?
